Just watched The Sandlot again.
Thought I would see how it would fare with a 9 yr old Aussie girl. She actually liked it, so big tick for the USA and Edofnor

On lists of the best time travel movies, Time Bandits is always near the top, but I tried and couldn't get past 15 minutes. Too ****ing ghey
I should see Primer again. I always see a new detail I didn't see before

Predestination is a time travel movie. I can't recall if I liked it or not so set your expectation to a 7/10 if you haven't seen it.

Have you seen Safety Not Guaranteed? That was a good time travel one from the classic ad.
although it didn't contain much in the way of actual time travel
(or did it?)

I watch it every 3-5 years it seems and it holds up very well. Sure the clothing is dated and some of the references, but overall it works for most generations.

Supposedly, Red Dawn was the first movie with a PG-13 rating.

It's a Robert Heinlein classic! Just finished watching and I know I'll watch again because the timeline gets pretty ****ing complicated <<< those are the best kind

I read that in 1969, Midnight Cowboy initially received a rating of X. The producers did some cutting and released it again. It won best picture, best director, and best adapted screenplay. John Voigt was good, but Dustin Hoffman was brilliant.

Dustin Hoffman completely improvised that. They had the street cordoned off, and for some reason a taxi got through, and Hoffman just improvised.
The end was about as sad as I've seen.

Tried getting through 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea today (1954 version), but it got a bit boring so we re-watched Cars instead

The Sinbad movies in that genre (The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, The Golden Voyage Of Sinbad & Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger) are all a lot more watchable, although the 2nd and 3rd feature better special effects given they were made in the 70's, not to mention Jane Seymour in her prime.
It's also kinda funny to see John Wayne's son playing Sinbad.

For her age (71), she is well preserved, no doubt.
