*Update* 17.04.13

Elantri_X has created a new server using the old All Nighter world file. It all looks intact, so if you were on the old All-Nighter this should be it.

I had rented a MC server from Branzone. Partly because I have more than a few coworkers and friends who play and trying to locally host a server was getting annoying and partly because the "old" TW server was pretty badass. So I figure I would also extend to any TW'ers who still want a place to play and build stuff. I know more than a few people were pretty annoyed by Whaz's disappearance, but if anyone manages to get a hold of him or a copy of the old TW world I will gladly host it.

The original server was taken down, and Elantri_X has been kind enough to re-host it. So don't pander me, I doubt I'll be a leader/admin but it's his server.

The easy way - Those have a bunch of executable and application files designed to install it for you. The problem here is I cannot upload files of that type to the server via FTP. It simply rejects it, I assume to protect the network the server is on from hackers. Either way I cannot do that.

The hard way - This involves making a small bat file in notepad and typing in a bit of code. While you can copy/paste the bulk of it, it also requires you have local access to the machine under which you want to install it on. Basically the code needs to be told where java is to do load the JAR file. Which is fine, but with this server I don't have local access like that so I can't tell where java is on the machine itself. Even if I did I couldn't upload the bat file to the server anyway as per the above mentioned rejection of such files.

Right now the control panel allows me to execute java commands, but the problem is it automatically adds its own pieces (mainlynogui). I tried using that to load the bukkit JAR but it left the server completely unreachable as the command prompt is used to load minecraft_server.jar. And without full console control (which I don't have) I cannot execute it and then stop it.

I already was at the site and tried all manner of things for the better part of an hour and a half, all to no avail. I posted a support ticket asking about it but I have yet to get a response. I'm sure there has to be some way to do it, it would seem silly to me for Bran to make minecraft servers available but not allow the use of any mods/plugins.

I'm sorry you probably have to start over, but like I said if anyone can track down Whaz and procure the old server world from him I will gladly host it on the server.

Also everyone who asked is now on the whitelist, I tried to make it so all the updated info would be in the first post.

For supposedly being simple to use Stargate is a *****. It seems to only work with me and now one else and when I try any commands I get his with "permission denied". If it is really that simple why the **** am I digging around in the actual code files looking for the permission lines to edit them manually?

I spent some time learning Essentials and editing YML files and re-learn some Java, but the permissions I set should work. It always worked for me beause I was a owner/admin, I always got the message so I don't know if it will work or not anymore. I'll make another gate on a network myself and test it.
