and all this time i thought you could train to make your muscles thicker and harder but really you just need to eat salad and do pushups

I do 300 pushups a day and eat only rice and it works

First of all, I think you're full of ****. I just want you to know that.
Second, your reading comprehension skills make baby jesus wish he would have aborted your ****ing ass.
Just a few posts up, I said that doing calisthenics will make you stronger, and you will even gain muscle mass -- just not nearly as much strength/mass or as quickly as if you were lifting weights. So actually, I do know what the **** I'm talking about.

Well hello TW fitness people. I've been working at this for 2 years and have made some pretty good improvements. I started from scratch with only a cardio background (track/soccer). I had no clue about anything and wouldn't say I wasted six months..but they could have been better spent. Of course ,like us all, I'm still learning.
BEFORE:

5'9, 160lbs, bench start: 115
This week:
Past summer:
Currently I'm 3 weeks in on my first ever 'cut' and am figuring this out as I go. I'm hoping to have my ab's cut by mid-June. My stats right now have me at 183lbs, 10.1%bf (caliper, not accurate..blahblah) and 315 max bench. I'm slowly getting back into squats again after an ACL reconstruction surgery. Oh and now instead of soccer/track I play rugby and I enjoy tearing opposing wingers apart.

serious question (not a flame) at 5'9" 180...do you feel that you're slowing down? that's a lot of weight to carry.

I'm actually a faster sprinter than ever before and I think I would attribute that to squats. I really ****ing drill people in rugby. I currently run about 15-20miles per week at around an 8.5min mile when doing 3 miles and I'm okay with that. I've weighed around 198lbs at my heaviest and will probably get back to that weight after the summer.

I'm 5'10" 195 or so and don't really feel it's much weight to carry. I used to be up to 210, so I actually feel light on my feet now
