This was the VERY beginning. when I was 3
Around last October, I swam around this time, but ate like crap and didint lift.
I was around 165 lbs at this time. lots of chub around the belly.... Unfortunately I dont have pics of when I was 185... I was a fatttt assss
this pic is from Oct.
and this is almost 3 months after I started lifting. These were taken a bit more than a month ago I think.

These are my results over the course of about a year.
I'm 6'0" and started off at about 225lbs (sorry no pics)
First decision was to shed as much fat as possible, I ended up at around 175lbs
After that I started bulking up over the course of about six months, I ended up right around 215lbs
I took a few months off due to moving across the country and getting situated, but started my cut cycle roughly 9 weeks ago. These are the results so far, i'm roughly 190lbs now
(taken w/ my isight so sorry for the ****ty quality)

Now that you've lost weight and gained muscle, would it be best to just workout/gain muscle to shed fat? Or lose fat and then gain back muscle (like you did)? I'm 5'9" and around 210 (fatty lol) and I'm starting to get a plan together but I am having trouble deciding between losing it first or just working through it. :|

The more lean mass you have the more energy your body has to burn to maintain it, so you can lose weight faster by lifting with your cardio.

I shed the unwanted weight first because I didn't like being fat and preferred a good foundation to work with. Physically, I think it was worth it too. The extra weight would've put unneeded stress on my body, not to mention the fat you don't see, around your heart, can do a lot of damage as well.
I also want to stress the importance of diet and how crucial it is. For my cutting phase I did not do any cardio, just weights and a good diet. To me, it helped minimize the muscle loss. I lost about 1/8" on my arms which I think was primarily fat.
I think I'll be doing a short bulk/cut phase again so I'll be good to go once summer hits.

Liquid... Holy cow man... Nice job...
Whats your workout look like? The routine that is... Can you pm me if you dont feel comfortable posting it?
Im about the same as you 6'0 178lbs.... but I'm pretty lean... you say your diet is crucial... Are you doing the normal 6 meals a day, and a bunch of protein?
thx for any info man...

i'll take one of me this summer after my diet has been goin for a lil bit.
5'9
about 200pounds in that picture
you can see my lower abs, and my sides diddnt look that great, but i wasnt really dieting hardcore, so for eating lots of fast food thats not too bad i guess.. hopefully this summer with my diet i'll be looking 100x better.
i had pictures from this winter when i was bulking but i cant find them its pissing me off
