I didn't really feel old until the minivan happened.

i've heard once you get one you get used to all the space, and can't go smaller, so you'll have it for at least ten years

If you feel old now, just think how old you are gonna be before you can take a nice quiet **** in peace after they all grow up and move away.

I've taken to ****ting at 05:30, before I get in the car, while everyone else is still asleep.
But yeah I see your point. At this rate, I'll be 57 when this most recent one heads off to college.
We're debating having a fourth. I'm down, but my better half is still deciding.

Get it done if you are going to. When there is a little pack of them time goes by quicker. Plus, it's way more fun for all. Not to mention cheaper.

Mine are 4 and 6 now, and it's a ****ing handful. Couldn't do a third. Forget it.
With that said, minivans are ****in awesome and I applaud your adult decision. I drive a truck but wanted to buy a minivan for my wife. She was dead set against it, ended up with an MDX which to me may as well be a sedan.

Yeah. This one, our first daughter, will be born the end of January. We will have three under four. We're trying not to waste time. I'm not getting younger...

When you no longer need the minivan, you will feel even older

I drive a 2011 Tacoma V6. The most advanced piece of technology in it is a tiny back-up camera integrated into the rear view mirror. There's not even a USB port. The seats are manual. I don't have a key fob.
The van, a 2022, is like the Millennium ****ing Falcon as far as I'm concerned.

Our plan is to drive it for 10 years and then go from there. Maybe a Suburban, if those still exist.

That's an interesting thought. Years ago, based on comments I made on other sites (back when HBD was the new rage), I was contacted to write for a site. I did for a month or so, but I couldn't keep the schedule. Told the owner my time was better spent finding a woman and actually making white babies instead of trying to convince other whites to do the same.

My dad ran a successful lighting business with Chrysler mini vans. He owned almost every generation they made until he got too old to drive. My wife and I had a 1999, the only generation he didn't have.
