Take the Bowery in NY for an example.
You know those cliche movie scenes with people in flop houses? Trains going by outside the window? Room rattling?

When the first elevated trains were put in, it ****ed up large areas of cities. It became dark down below. Vice and sin replicated. People moved business out.
Having an L train run down your street didn't exactly spell prosperity. That's why underground's were used.

The sudden and troubling rise of a private police force in Downtown Portland - OPB

What the hell do they expect? And who is troubled? I'll tell you who - the DA is troubled. Mike Schmidt. Because the security groups are pretty effective and he is not.

Portland city officials welcome private security firm***8217;s investigations even as prosecutors skeptical

They patrol. They detain. They investigate.

While regulation lags, private security firms like Echelon Protective Services have become an increasingly muscular substitute for taxpayer-funded policing in Portland. But despite increasing wariness from police and county prosecutors, other city leaders appear more comfortable with Echelon***8217;s new role, even as it hits at the heart of the ongoing debate over how to handle the city***8217;s homelessness crisis.

Tons of private security in SoCal. Most was to protect private property. Like a business park or strip mall hiring one. I saw a video on private security in Detroit and some companies will escort wealthy people to work and home every day.

I bet you can pretty much anticipate where this business will boom in America by following George Soros's DA investments.

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) assembled a Rules Advisory Committee (RAC) earlier this week to address a permanent indoor mask mandate in the state. Oregon is one of a few states that still retain one nearly two years into the pandemic.

The committee included several community stakeholders, including representatives from the hospitality industry, the business sector, and faith communities, according to local ABC affiliate KATU.

Dr. Paul Cieslak, the medical director for communicable diseases and immunizations with OHA, explained to KATU that OHA's potential "permanent" indoor mask mandate is not necessarily permanent because it can be repealed.

"Permanent means indefinite. It doesn***8217;t necessarily mean permanent," Cieslak said. "We can repeal it as well, but we are only allowed to have a temporary rule for 180 days, and anything that goes beyond 180 days, we cannot extend it."

Meanwhile in Eugene...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSBkv1ytaEE

There is a lot of lol in this...

The gist is that this guy and his GF heard this woman threw people out of her shop because of the state mandate to wear masks.

So, they told her that she was in violation of 18 Usc 1951. Which is meant to be fore thieves and extortionists. They basically claim that to deny them commerce violates 18usc 1951. They say both she and the cops are liable.

We will see how this goes for them

that was a quick 4 years..

How is it that the state and city government officials are still in office for openly violating the Constitution and their oath of office?
