172 on a 1981 GS1100e. Thats not by my reckoning, because the speedo stopped at like 80. That is from the speed gun of one of the cops involved in the chase.
4 into 1 V&H header, always uncorked, larger worked smooth bore Mikuni carbs, aftermarket cams, milled head. It was pure brute force in a straight line, sucked ass in corners.
