The SST was actually quite respectable in its day. It came with a 401 and a 390. The 401's are like unicorns today, damn near impossible to find. 390's are a little easier. But even if you spruced them up to their maximum output, they still can't really compete with chevy/ford
 
I have a 2003 Pontiac Vibe stick shift. Great gas mileage. Fellow here in town has same year and make. His has 300k miles on it. Mine only has 190k miles. Basic upkeep and those cars will run forever.

The odometers only go up to 299,999 miles in those, lol.

No problem. A friend has one, and it's stuck at 299,999. Digital display in that weird amber color.
