Nice board!

We used to have counters made of that growing up, they were all recycled butcher blocks around everything. Tough to kill.

Hence why I have decided to buy a Japanese Asahi rubber cutting board. **** ain't cheap at $350, but it will last a lifetime and my knives will be far happier. You can always play checkers on it though....
If Titebond 3 is used it should last forever. Any older cutting board using old wood glue or titebond 1 will eventually have moisture get to the glue and they would break but 3 is waterproof after set up.

I am going to be building some drunken cutting boards soon.

but seriously, I make a lot of furniture. Here's a recent media center I put together. I don't have the finished picture with the cabinet door handles attached but you get the idea.

the circular holes are for running wires out.

This would've looked pimp with a see thru java/black stain! I know its just a ply but I hate seeing grain like that covered up heh.

Got a cedar tabletop almost ready to go on top of a restored old singer sewing machine table in the garage.. Just needs a couple more days of curing for the varnish, then sand it down and buff it up. Finished with shellac & BLO initially, then topped with a generous helping of spar varnish (it's planned to be outside)

Edit: excuse potato phone quality.

dude I know, I hate using paint on beautiful wood grain. This is for my daughter's playroom and my wife wanted the blue. I tried to make it work the best I could. It would definitely look sweet with a dark stain but it wasn't great wood (I just used cheap pine) so its not the end of the world.... plus its just sitting in a kids playroom.

I'm starting a new project this week which should take me all of 2 days. Making a little standalone cabinet for the powder room which is boardwalk themed, so maybe 3-4' tall, 16"x16", bronze hardware. Just something to throw toilet paper rolls in. My family spends a lot of time in our beach house on the jersey shore and I'm trying to theme the room. Probably going to use bead board instead of plywood for the frame.

Some talented folk in here.

MC those drawers are especially gorgeous; love the angles and 3d form.

I also hate to see paint on nice wood grain -

I have a big slab of maple which I am going to go Bob Villa on and sand and coat it with oil for a bread cutting board.
