I have a Bear Claw compound bow (they no longer make the Claw model). It's designed for deer hunting but I've always just shot targets and small game like raccoons. It's fun but it'll take a while to get good enough to shoot an animal with enough confidence that you'll put it down and not just wing it and let it run away with an arrow hole. Boar don't go down easily

So funny this came up, I was thinking of going to the pasadena archery club, just seemed like a good hobby to get outside on the weekends. I guess they have open sessions on Saturdays.

I bow hunted growing up, just got back into it this season after years off.

Killed a wild pig one time, ~30 yard quarter away shot, the arrowhead nicked the heart and continued straight through. Pig ran for about 5 seconds and stopped, then laid down and died.

the best thing to do is go to an archery shop and test all the right sized arrows until you find the one the shoots perfectly straight from your bow.

if u buy arrows from walmart or amazon you will get some piece of **** machined arrow that won't fly straight.

shoot from 15 feet away until u can hit the foam target 100% of the time because arrows are expensive to lose or break

Losing an arrow is like 8 dollars. Hunted a couple of seasons with a recurve with some yahoos but never got a deer.

Closest I ever came to being mauled by a bear.

I'm a Hunter in Lord of The Rings Online

I also have a bow and a few arrows made by meh myself

Have no idea how to kill a living being tho. Might used it on a human during the judgement day. Because I know God won't accept me in Heaven so I will not be jetting on Rapture event. So I'll have to stay on Earth and kill humans and demons to survive.
