Mass Effect 2

i will not be pirating because i know it will be amazing and i own it on the 360. i can wait 5 days. plus i have sto beta to enjoy between now and then

There's no winning side to this issue. On one side there's EA, and I sure as fuck don't support them being able to throw around big additional charges for doing essentially nothing. And it's another step towards the "everything as subscription" model (pretty soon you'll have to license your toothbrush monthly from Braun). On the other side there's Gamestop, which has pushed the used game racket so aggressively it seems almost deliberately malicious towards publishers/developers.

So I can understand and almost support it as an attempt to fight back against Gamestop, but ultimately... fuck all of them, before they fuck us.

I don't think Gamestop sells used PC games. It makes no sense for them to force someone to pay $15 for the PC version if you get a copy your friend doesn't play anymore.

I really wish they didn't dumb the game down so much for the console... i mean, space bar is used as sprint, hiding behind cover, hopping over objects and the "use" function. So often I want to sprint and my dumb character decides to hide behind a crate...

i run into the clipping bug like once every hour or two where i get stuck on something and have to reload

kinda connected to the space bar system since ur just tryin to get cover or move around but end up climbing up on random shit and getting stuck

I'm gonna start the game over again from scratch.

What's the main benefit of importing your previous game save? Is it just the choices that you made: ie: kill this person, save this person, fuck this girl, get this asshole to join your team?

Lots of little things effect it and you get a few small bonuses at the beginning. Things that you did from the first game actually come up on a fairly regular basis.

Anyone figure out how to enable anti-aliasing? The jaggies are really annoying me.

Edit: Also, is anyone with a x-fi xtreme gamer also getting periods where the sound randomly cuts completely off and then back on? This happens more frequently during the dialogue scenes.

Can you rebind the key to something else?

Fuck. I don't know what class to pick.

I was a Soldier in ME1.

In ME2 I restarted today as an Adept. I don't like it.

I think I liked ME1 as more of a first person shooter with a deep storyline.

What to do what to do

Play a soldier again. Revel in the joy of using all weapons and ammo types. feel smug that you're the only class that can use the Assault Rifle. Use your new bullet time ability.

Play as a Vanguard. Enjoy your newfound ability to use Biotic Charge to get up in your opponents faces and knock them the fuck out while capping them in midair with your shotgun.

doesnt really matter what class you pick since you can use your team members for everything else. i struggled a lot in the first one with the half biotic unit, but with the soldier it was a breeze.
