I would post Steve Digorgio but the few things I can find are awful recordings.

Is there any other bassist's that play within his style?

this thread has taught me one thing:
if the bassist isn't already widely known, the video is worthless. got it.

actually that bassist dissent posted is fairly decent
arpeggio tapping hooray

the bassist is good, the band needs a person that can actually sing in key if they're gonna try and go that route
it's like trying to listen to a bird sing in a construction area

he doesn't sing as well live as he does on the album, though i have seen them live and the performance greatly overshadows that.
however, the thread isn't called "sing my ass off"

not really.. his style is heavy on percussive rhythm + unique tones/noises and generally not so heavy on theory when compared to his jazz counterparts like burbridge or wooten.
but there's so much claypool to listen to between primus, the flying frog's brigade, his self-titled works, and cover albums like rhinoplasty and miscellaneous debris that it doesn't really matter. on top of that, he is kind of into the jam scene now so his recent live shows all have unique content.

it still stands that the live video makes it hard to make out the bass
it's hard to be impressed by something you can barely hear
I didn't think I'd have to spell it out
also the band sucks, so it's hard to hear the bass through the suck, it's distracting

i can very easily hear him tapping out the part after 0:20
maybe you should turn your speakers on

wow, a single tapping section
you're right I change my mind that is some awesome bass.
**** thanks for opening my mind
I'm gonna go to bed now

i can hear it fine, but i suppose it's because i know the song.
also, band doesn't suck. you're just used to hearing the same **** over and over again, so it's hard to hear through the **** in your ears.
edit: keep in mind the speed at which he's playing. i'd like to see you try to tap ON A BASS at that kind of a tempo and make it sound remotely as good.

actually yeah i can do that and pry any shredder guitarist could do it too
tapping is the dry hump of the speed mechanics world
do you play dissent
the band makes me think of between the buried and me

yes, i do play. i used to play bass in my band, but about a year ago i started writing things that were too hard to play and sing at the same time, so i moved to just vocals.
i can do the tapping part in that song, and believe me, it isn't as easy as it looks.
