I respect this Corey Brooks guy.
Here is his take on the Ukraine.

He has been on a roof for 99 days. I think he finishes up tomorrow synced with the end of Black History month.

He makes the point that he needs outside help. Many of us agree, Corey. You have to start in that state. The people need to vote in some new folks.

We do not allow our fed government to combat "domestic terrorism".
That's the job of the state. Start with Lori Lightfoot.

Anyway - I feel your pain. I know it feels like you are abandoned. There is not much we can do as outsiders other than hope that enough people in that area come to their senses and start voting for something different.

Also - don't fall into the trap of thinking this is red vs blue, left vs right etc.
Look - if you have a two party system and you have tried for years and failed with one party - change the leadership. It's that simple. What do you have to lose?

Let's say a neighbor has two buckets. A goto bucket has a hole in it. The other just sits there in the garage. Still in a box. The neighbor uses the ****ty old bucket every day. And whines about the bucket. Complains about the bucket. It leaks all over the place.

"Hey neighbor! Why don't you try that other bucket in the garage?"
"Oh, maybe. This one's not so bad, I guess"

Well, it's hard to care about people who won't care about themselves.
Try the other bucket. It doesn't really matter what color it is.
