Nah he didn't make him do it as they're independent but hes been tweeting lower the fed funds rate for a while. Got mad when they didn't like 2 months back. Trump has made it clear he is a fan of devaluing the dollar for trade purposes and negative interest rates. I sorta get it if everyone has low rates we dont have to give as good of a rate as other countries to be competitive but the velocity of our money is too fast and systematic supply shocks like this will cause what would have been a crash at 30mph to be more like one at 60mph
