The TribalPress news titles, which are doled out as of February 2008, are assigned using a dynamic formula which varies as the volume of news increases. It is based on 3 variables:
- Time Period : The range of time we are examining. Usually 0 - 4 weeks back from now.
- Number of Posts * Bumps : A minimum number of posts with an established number of bumps each (to ensure quality) is included in the formula.
These numbers will vary over time as the amount of news being posted does, just like the point system for publishing news to the front page changes. Eventually, if the news system becomes popular, I will establish vet-style tiered press titles to further specify the most active contributors.
