So my stupid smoke detector's going off for no reason
Looked around just to be safe, nothing that should have legitimately set it off was anywhere to be found.
Can't unplug the damn thing because it violates apartment safety code. So much for a quiet evening... Feel free to chime in about how it's actually a fire and you hope I burn to death. Not like I would, because fire is afraid of Ben Reed. |
Replace the battery.
|
Replace the smoke detector.
|
Maybe you won't wake up when you succumb to the odorless CO.
|
youre on fire ben
|
i dont think somebody from your apartments will bust in as soon as you pull out one of the wires. then again, i dont know where you live.
|
those expeiments you've been running , are you using the explosive biochemicals we talked about or the halucinogenic ones?
edit - world domination has it's price |
It violates apartment code but you can't use the apartment if its constantly going off. Unplug it or remove the batteries. Deal with it when you have the time.

How are they going to know?

I'm not sure how long it takes carbon monoxide to knock you out, but this has been going on for almost 15 minutes now, so I'm pretty sure I should be unconscious by now. Being as I'm not, I'm almost certain it's not a gas leak. :f |
It's an everything's OK alarm.
|
maybe there is dust or something in the sensors, try vacuuming it

Plus, I would assume they'd at least keep a brief log about swapping out the batteries and crap. What kind of batteries do smoke detectors take, anyway? I'm not even sure I have the proper kind. |

EVERYTHING IS FINE GO BACK TO WORK |
If you have some canned air, blow it out, might have some dust or a spider web in the sensor.

If the alarm is going off (like really going off) it's not a low battery. If it's beeping every 30 seconds it's a low battery. |
Don't they sometimes also have a detector for carbon monoxide built in?
|
We dont need no water let the mother ****er burn, burn mother ****er, burn.
|
don't they sometimes have detectors for that strange cancer causing radiation that makes you impotent, although i heard if you can hear it you have a 99% probability that you will never achieve an erection again.
