[(#)SOCCER] 2009-2010 Season Thread

Pre-season starts July 1st.

EPL Fixture List can be found here: BBC SPORT | Football | Premier League | Fixtures

This year FSC and ESPN will be broadcasting the EPL. Look forward to HD coverage in 2010 as well.

La Liga, Bundesliga, ect. will be shown on GolTV.

Too early to make predictions.

KillerONE 06-29-2009 10:57

All I know, is I'll be at the ManU vs Fulham Mar. 13th game in the Europa Suite.

Saturday, 15 August

Chelsea v Hull
Man Utd v Birmingham
Everton v Arsenal
Tottenham v Liverpool

Portsmouth v Fulham

Manchester United and Chelsea will be off to an easy three points at the beginning of the season. Liverpool will be playing low quality opposition as well apparently, since the unnamed team is selling their entire roster as we speak.

As for Arsenal, I don't know if I'm happy or sad to play Everton the first day of the season. It sure is intriguing though.

Fulham are going to smash a scrub Portsmouth side and start off nicely to reinforce their position as a Europa Cup team this year.

(Prepare for mass assumptions off of early season results)

COME ON FULHAM

:brows: Ready to reclaim 1st place, Snaps?

Snaps 06-29-2009 11:09

The only prediction I can make this year is it is going to be exciting. Not only for the English league but the Spanish as well. With Barcelona winning the CL and Real Madrid playing Championship Manager in cheat mode, a lot of heads will turn and see what is happening on the other side of the fence as well. I know I will.

Snaps 06-29-2009 11:11

I tried to be as subtle as possible.

Is it really hate if I speak the truth?

ResolvE 06-29-2009 11:12

its ok Keane/Defoe will have a breakout season this year. Maybe we can buy back Berbatov for 40 mil too...

Durak 06-29-2009 11:14

snaps is a ****** what do u expect resolve

KillerONE 06-29-2009 11:15

I recall Hull having a pretty awesome start last year and ManU had trouble starting.

So easy 3 points for Chelsea and Manu? I say, not so. Not saying they're not favored, but I won't call it easy.

Liverpool should be able to clean house.

Arsenal and Everton will be the match of the week.

:)

That's a solid way to start off the season, no doubt.

Yep, England actually in a final is a rare event in itself. It being against Germany just makes it sweeter.

Dotting thread and I think I will pick Wolverhampton to support in this years EPL.

^i^Njal 06-29-2009 15:51

England's goalkeeping has left a lot to be desired this game...

uno 06-29-2009 16:18

Their starting keeper picked up 2 yellows in the past 2 games so is missing from the finals

Hart I believe is his name
