My guess is either the number of cases will skyrocket but no significant death numbers and all countries will follow corrupt Boris and we'll be free again OR they'll use fake numbers and/or use the media hysteria to step back and reinforce even more society controlling measures.

Cases are skyrocketing, yes, but hospital admissions only had a slight incline, and deaths a very minor bump. Over two thirds of residents have received two doses, and almost 90% received at least one.

Still feels a little premature to me, but the situation isn't quite as grim as the case data makes it look. Basically, vaccines work and it's mostly minor cases now.

My advice to everyone right now - maintain caution. Meaning, stay away from others unless you need to. Just like you were mid 2020. And, wear a mask in crowded spots if you must get into one. Whether you are vaccinated or not. Pretty simple. Just because someone says you can do something doesn't mean you should.

Just to compare back to January 2021:
On January 8 2021 the UK reported 68,192 new cases.
On January 20 2021the UK reported 1,826 deaths.
