Nice include on Bucky O'Hare, though

I loved Pirates of Dark Water.

It's too bad the cartoon was dropped before the storyline was never finished.

Get some Ed, Edd, and Eddy.

Mindflayr 08-25-2010 16:10

Nice Collection, I am subscribing to thread for when I get my TB Drive.

Chip & Dales Original Cartoons with Donald Duck > Rescue Rangers, but both are good.

I think they might be for a tiny bit older group but Nicks shows "The Mysterious Cities of Gold" and "Spartacus and the Sun beneath the Sea" were 2 of my fav shows of all time. I think each ep was 1 hr.

Thanks for the massive Nostalgia.

Gweedo 08-25-2010 16:31

Biker mice from mars
Charley Brown
Transformers

Other than that. Quality list

Trepdation 08-25-2010 16:33

Warner Brothers cartoons for the love of god man! Coyote and road runner, bugs, peppi le pew, foghorn leghorn, the Siamese cats, speedy Gonzalez!

Also Inspector gadget as mentioned.

The Tick....haha ****ing awesome. Good job with that one.

Muppets are a great kids show but racy by todays standards. Sandy Duncan ripping off her dress to a leotard and walking down a bar slamming shots would not be tolerated in todays TV world. The adult humor for the rents in it too. this crap nowadays will turn your brain into mush. Muppets was like SNL for kids. :)

Atreides 08-25-2010 16:43

Not a cartoon, but make it happen anyway:

Also, not a childhood cartoon, but still awesome:

That's Looney Tunes dude, and I have them all.

Rayn 08-25-2010 17:04

there's way too many 'new' cartoons being shouted out
so either you guys are significantly younger than me or you watched cartoons through college.

Emissary 08-25-2010 17:15

Anything produced after 1996 doesn't count, sound about right?

Yep

Rayn 08-25-2010 17:18

i think once they started replacing good shows like gummi bears and duck tales with rescue rangers it was the beginning of the end.

also i recently tried to go back and watch duck tales and realized it wasn't as entertaining as I thought in middle school.

HollyW00d 08-25-2010 17:26

Just remembered I have the complete Tom and Jerry that needs to be transferred. Wacky Races is another one, I absolutely loved the video game on the Dreamcast. I always wanted to pick up the dvd box set but always chickened out.

Flinstones and the Jetsons are another couple of shows I should add, but those shows bored me to death as time wore on.

My Cartoon folder, around 1TB so far. I have some missing from the list that I haven't transfered but please tell me if I'm missing anything (good).

Once my kids are old enough they will be force to watch only quality shows such as this

Dexter's Laboratory
Bonkers

...Scooby Doo?

You have most of the classics anyhow.

There are a lotta cultural references to Johnny Quest-- might wanna stick that in there for the historical aspect, I mean, you have the smurfs.

Bodom 08-25-2010 18:54

Automatic Jack 08-25-2010 18:56

TheGhost 08-25-2010 19:53

what the **** is beast wars, i thought that came out late 96+, which puts me in late middle school, and there was cooler **** on TV then

i don't remember watching many cartoons in middle school, i already went through the comic book and xmen phase when I was 7-9 (some people, sadly, never left that phase :( )

Phrozen 08-25-2010 20:00

Every morning before middle school I started my day with Mighty Max, Bobby's World, and Beastwars.

TheProvider 08-25-2010 20:04

why the **** would you let your kids watch pee wee's play house. **** that.

oh and also I would add Dragon Ball Z.

Ciceron 08-25-2010 20:09

DBZ should NOT be on this list.

Xcursion 08-25-2010 20:25

The problem with Rocko's Modern Life is that the whole series hasn't been released on DVD. That makes me sad.
