There is still a hypothetical point further out than that which doesn't exist in practice though, just as there is on the conservative end. As far as that spectrum goes though, as has been noted pretty frequently: the USA as a whole is way closer to that zero point than most other countries on the planet these days, you can say that "ultra progressives have the platform" - the 'progressiveness' of those ideologies is a completely relative thing, though. I don't think the idea of public health care is particularly extreme, for example.

psuedo intellectual ****tardism

summary: progressives great (always a silver lining), conservatives bad (hopeless)

anyway, most countries huh? *Africa* has alot of Nations in it that are far more conervsative than the USA, then there is the middle east (religious nutjobs), as well as Central and South America (very religious). Asians tend to be conservative as well, even though some are commie ****bags, like china and vietnam while still modernizing while preserving their culture and traditions. Dont forget India.

Whoops. You have no idea what the **** youre talking about. Maybe you should travel the world sometime you ignorant ****.

Your worship at the altar of loserdom (aka progressivism / collectivism) and suck the cock of the State while trying desperately to sound intelligent.

O ya, and you're welcome on the free education. :)

just look at all the cities in america that have been ran by the left for a long while, check out all of that prosperity...

Most major cities in America are considered "left" leaning cities, you're basically saying that major cities aren't prosperous, and only rural centers show any prosperity ...

There's a fine line between order and chaos, and this is the reason most societies have a finite life. They lose the balance. You need progressive ideas just as much as you need structured conservative principles to implement and run those ideas.

Oh you absolutely need a balance thats why the 'pendulum' swings back and forth in this country. All those fantastic humanitarian programs the left comes up with ultimately ends up being paid for by the taxpayer and there is only so far that taxpayers will be taxed.

So then the right has to come back in and be the bad guys for a while, and left unchecked they too will go to an extreme until we don't give a **** about people at all, then the left comes back in...rinse and repeat

You're suggesting that leftism is a greater threat because leftist ideals are (in the current climate) more likely to come to pass, not because of the threat posed by those ideals in themselves. That's the point I was making.

I think we're on different paths, there.

I see no benefit to either far left or far right ideologies. Neither extreme has done anything good for humanity in the modern age. Arguing about which ideology in itself is worse seems kind of fruitless. What matters is which direction the pendulum is swinging, and how much resistance there is against it.

And look at left leaning cities vs right.

Left cities like
Detroit
Chicago
New york
Seattle
San Francisco

What hasn't already died on that list is in a downward spiral of crime and drugs

The right says we can't or we'll all drown and the left screams about what heartless bastards the right is, even though those actions ultimately benefit all

And somewhere between, there is a point where the life raft can take on a whole bunch of those people without really suffering.

There are also a bunch of other life rafts out there, with people in them looking at the occupants of that life raft and wondering how they should react. Maybe, between all the life rafts out there, there's actually enough room for the people in the water, and no-one has to die.

Thats what leftists think...because they are thinking of the problem with their heart. Meanwhile the right is looking at how close the water is to coming into the boat.

But they're all coming to one life raft.

acting like cities, as centers of financial activity, are financial islands unto themselves is incredibly funny

ALL THE MONEY IS IN THE CITY

amRam 01-20-2021 21:05

Prosperity in cities is a function of geography. You're all seriously retarded for bothering with such a dumb argument. There's no causal relationship between the predominant political ideology of a city and its financial prosperity. Its financially favorable for workers and businesses to congregate closely, thus cities.

this right here.

and you can't deny (unless you want to lie to yourself and everyone else) that pretty much every institution in america is ran by the left now, the media, social media/big tech, government (local, state, and federal), hollywood/television, education, and even most huge corporations (take a look at the board members, usually left leaning people and sometimes even leftist politicians themselves). the balance is so far off that **** is starting to give. and when **** starts to give, it means that the balance is going to want to forcefully right itself, and it's not going to be pretty.

The right do not engage in progressive policies that improve the general wellbeing of the people as a whole.

That is why the far right represents a greater societal threat.

jfc, it's like you collectivist losers purposely overlook the abject failures of collectivism? Or are purposely lying to promote a loser's ideology here?

Did you not learn about 20th century collectivism and the world wars it spawned, the murderous take overs, the gulags, systemic racism (nazis)? Collectivist ****bags are responsible for at least 100 million deaths last century.

Here is a nice feel good story:
