Donald Trump on Tuesday alleged that Ted Cruz’s father was with John F. Kennedy’s assassin shortly before he murdered the president, parroting a National Enquirer story claiming that Rafael Cruz was pictured with Lee Harvey Oswald handing out pro-Fidel Castro pamphlets in New Orleans in 1963.

Here's what I don't get: Cruz is already done, at least as best I can tell. Even conspiring with Kasich to skew the delegate voting, he's gotten beat, and beat bad. Why would Trump sling mud like this? I'm a guy that never once thought Trump was serious about this, it's now pretty clear he's going to be the nominee, even through a contested nomination. Why does Trump need to do this? If I were him, I'd change targets and be slinging the **** at The ***** TM, not Cruz |
