He doesn't mind it so much, actually. My roof deck is 3 stories up, and I don't want him to get spooked and fall. He also enjoys going under the wooden frame of the deck, where it's very difficult to reach him.

So long as you have a harness and leash that won't strangle him should he actually fall anyways
