Their former employees would go on unemployment, retire early, and/or apply for government assistance in the form of food stamps or Medicaid. You think $14 billion was a big loss? Imagine that tax burden.

Companies should fail for starters, you dumb hypocritical ****. One second you're whining about corporate subsidies, the next you're advocating for bailouts.

Oh and when people file bankruptcy, they don't just walk away with trillions in their pocket. And people buy up companies that go bankrupt.

Your grasp of any related to economics is childlike.

So ... Trump busting open the abortion nut (for some reason).

Quote:

Donald J. Trump, pressed Wednesday on his support for a ban on abortion and what it would mean in practice, said that ***8220;there has to be some form of punishment***8221; for women who have abortions.

Less than three hours later, Mr. Trump revised himself, issuing a written statement saying that such a ban would criminalize only those performing the procedure, not the women getting abortions. ***8220;The woman is a victim in this case, as is the life in her womb,***8221; he said.

JoMo 03-30-2016 18:45

It was basically a hypothetical question that if abortion were BANNED, do you believe in punishment for abortion? He said he did.

KingSobieski 03-30-2016 19:35

Dunno how you illegalize something and back it up w zero punishment.

The media is ratcheting the Trump mania up to 11

The abortion thing aside; he said he'd send the issue back to the states. That should make the libertarians happy.

I'm not advocating for anything. It was a response to MasterGnr's defense of the bank bailout under Bush and the criticism of the auto industry bailout under Obama. He just hates Obama and will make any excuse under the sun for W.

Usually accompanied by mass layoffs when consolidation happens with the new owners who realize they don't need thousands of the employees that used to work for their new acquisition.

A new owner can just buy up the company and move production to Mexico, or China, or anywhere else there aren't unions and the labor is cheaper.

I believe Obama has been a horrible leader, and has taken America down a dangerous path. He has created divisiveness, alienated law enforcement (which he is in charge of), neutered CBP, and emboldened dangerous actors on the world stage. NK launching missiles, Iran saying they want missiles and not a treaty, Putin acting with impunity, Assad using chemical weapons after an empty threat of the "line" by Obama...I could go on and on.

Obama using catch and release with illegal aliens, who go on to **** and murder American citizens. And if I or any other white person says that is wrong we are labeled a racist. Forcing the CBP to ignore law and fudge numbers. He has perpetrated a fraud on the American people. Plain and simple. Talks about having a transparent administration - does the exact opposite. He is a crap leader...but a decent community organizer!

Well, Trump actually wants to raise tariffs so high on companies that take jobs overseas that it is cheaper to stay - an idea I really like. Go after Apple first.

Now the libs will scream that putting America First and putting other countries' needs second isn't being a part of the world community. **** that - I say let's see how the world community does without our money and protection.

America First!

MadHatSam 03-30-2016 23:43

Yep American politics weren't divisive before Obama, no sir.

Togowack 03-30-2016 23:50

The case against Obama is simple. On Facebook you will see a lot of this, people saying that past administrations sold arms to the Middle East and that somehow excuses the activity ongoing to this day, which has created ISIS and the refugee crisis.

Ask about the Iran agreement and how giving them nukes helps us, the case is as simple as that

GreyGhost 03-31-2016 00:16

Or they'll just pass the cost onto consumers and make everything we buy even more expensive.

KingSobieski 03-31-2016 00:33

America has enough resources and people we could pursue an isolationist policy. Wtf do we need the globe for?

Maybe if Iran had nuclear weapons we'd be forced to deal with a country diplomatically instead of invading, replacing their leaders, getting our soldiers killed, and giving rise to more terrorist organizations.

The hypocrisy of the US and our allies with nuclear weapons telling the rest of the world they can't have them is unbelievable.
