What would you like to know about it? How has anything changed?

The Earth hasn't stopped shifting since the original event. Nobody knows what will happen next.

I don't need a government official to tell me that I should be on "high-alert". I am carrying my passport and all my essentials on me at all times in case the **** hits the fan. I was told today by my Japanese friends to expect activity for the next month.

Everyone bought out all the convenience stores yesterday and there are very very few people on the streets here. Everyone has shacked up and are trying to conserve electricity.

My school is closed tomorrow. My boss says it is to conserve energy, but I feel that he has many reasons to keep the office closed for now.

Are you not feeling tremors non-stop over in Tokyo?

Special---K 03-12-2011 10:48

LogRoller 03-12-2011 10:49

Fool 03-12-2011 10:51

The funny thing was when I went to the convenience store to get some items, most of the shelves were full or normal, but the snack section was nearly empty.
Yeah, you need Twix and chewy candy to get through disasters.

The tremors had died down until suddenly there was a big one and my phone rang with a warning from my coworker.
I don’t need to be told to be on high alert, but I want to know if something particularly strange happened, or if they just got readings that indicate a major quake will soon happen in my area.

Great, the advancement of nuclear power is going to be set back decades.

Holy **** this is the most intense video I've seen yet:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aY28GW1L-dA&NR

I wonder what happened to those poor souls driving around in the video.

I really feel bad for Japan right now. On the bright side it could've been much worse considering. Who knows, maybe this will help boost their economy and create jobs in the long run. If there's any country that can pull though it's Japan.

Perhaps I am naive, but I am entirely convinced that the nuclear warnings are a bunch of crap.

I am 200 miles away (262 km) from the plant and I am not even slightly afraid. I think it is enough distance and nothing will really happen. The media sensationalizes so much that I just can't buy into it.

After once witnessing a Japanese man on some kind of elevator lift attached to a truck, fixing a power-line in the middle of a roaring typhoon 3 years ago, I have gained a lot of faith in their ability to handle things in crisis situations.

What I am afraid of is getting slammed with another huge quake here in the Tokyo area.
