So, we are off to Kyoto in April to take my mother for her 80th birthday to see the Sakura [cherry blossom festival] and some old shit. Have any one of you been and what tips might you have?

Next week we are going to Lisbon, Lagos, Evora, Marvao, Tomar, Barqueiros, Nazare and Porto, and whatever is in between for 2 weeks. Has anyone been, what do you recommend, and what do we need to watch out for, such as stinky fish?
