I love watching FOX News

There are a lot of points to address so please excuse the excessive use of quotes. It only serves to help me break it down to where I can address each point while being distracted with work at the same time...

Also as a disclaimer let me just state that I am a firm believer in the Republicans AND the Democrats. We need both for our system to work, although more would be better. I believe that America needs both.

Worst offenders of what? Compared to who? By what metric? Not trying to defend them, I am honestly curious because I don't watch Fox News, at least not regularly.

The worst offenders of misinformation. I admit my statement is purely subjective and is just my opinion on the matter. I hear MSNBC slants hard the other direction but I hardly ever see their programming.

And hypocritical in what ways? If you mean by view point, just about everything I watch is hypocritical to some degree. You just can't have 24 hours of news, with dozens of reporters, hosts, interviews, with out coming askew of your own talking points somewhere down the line. Like I said, genuinely curious.

Hypocritical in the fact that they represent themselves to be a fair and balanced news source. Most of their programming is not news, it is political commentary. Seriously, they admit this themselves. All their hit shows with those smashing ratings are NOT their news programming. Does this stop them from throwing their "FOX News: Fair and Balanced" logo in the bottom corner of the screen during then Sean Hannity or Glenn Beck shows? Nope. I know most people here can tell when they watch those shows, what they really are. However, there are many impressionable people in this country who get buy into the deception.

I don't personally see Fox as being any worse than other companies in these ways, there has just been a major backlash against the conservative viewpoint, which puts conservative media in the cross hairs more.

It is just an opinion on who is worse but I believe that this "conservative backlash" is just something that FOX News actually talks about and perpetuates. Sort of like a defense mechanism. Hell the term itself is a huge talking point for them.

And IMO it isn't the immediacy of the news, it is the companies trying to spin it one way or the other to fit their viewpoint. If they just reported the facts of the matter without opinion or editorializing, we wouldn't run into a lot the problems we have now.

If they did this then they would all be saying the same thing!

CLIFFS:

Honestly this is my view of the major 3 news sources

MSNBC - Hardly ever watch them thus no opinion
CNN - Retarded sources. Seems that Facebook & Twitter are major stake holders now.
FOX News - Deceptive

they're just bitter because Fox News crushes the others in ratings.

OK those crushing numbers are not their news programs, they are their commentary programs. Their top 3 rated shows are...

  • The O’Reilly Factor
  • Glenn Beck
  • Hannity

i wasn' aware that they had any 'news' programs.

i thought it was all commentary.

that doesn't change the fact that Fox News is killing them all in ratings.

and non-news channels kill all those channels in ratings so I guess the people are voting to not care

plus I'm fairly certain that nightline, dateline, and 60 minutes all kick the shit out of fox news

MSNBC and CNN has commentary they just fucking suck at it. Just like they suck at radio but now they cry for fair time on the radio.

When you're a liberal and you suck cry about and hope someone will give you the ratings and air time.

Just like Ed Shultz calling for Socialism in radio. How sad.

all cable news ratings are child's play compared to network news.
