quests aka missions are about as exciting as the tutorial. the only tw people that actually stick around in eve are the ones that enjoy the silliness that is pvp, tbh.
oh and verite.
he's weird.
i guess you could say that. if you are in game you can check the skill requirements of random things, including other skills. some ships require spaceship command to be level 5, but for a new character it's not necessary nor is it practical to want to fly a ship that would require that in the first place. of course you do get the benefit of the skill at level 5, which would be an increase of 25% agility for all ships iirc. not all skills give sweeping bonuses like that, but most of the nooblar skills do so you cant go wrong.
You won't get very rich mining in a cargo ship(we call them Industrials, or Indys); they don't have enough high-slots to fit lots of mining lasers.I'm just wanting to get ship with a much larger cargo. I can mine while I'm at work, so I wanted to get a ship just to do that.

Looks like you're a Caldari pilot. Pick up a Bantam. It has bonuses for mining. If combat is your thing pick up a Kestrel and missile spam ftw.
Pick up some learning skills and some attribute implants. It'll speed your training up significantly. They're boring as hell but if you're in this game for the long haul you'll thank yourself.
Speaking of training you will want ... no wait ... NEED this program.
EVEMon - Character Monitoring and Planning for EVE Online
This will allow you to plan out all your stuff and get your head wrapped around how skills in Eve work.
Oh, finally, feel free to make fun of Barry and Verite as much as possible also.
There's really nothing that will meet your desires. Anything with a really large hold isn't designed to mine, anything that's designed to mine only has a moderate-sized hold at best. Stick with the Bantam until you can fly an Osprey.Right now using a Bantam. It just has such a small cargo hold. I wanted something much larger![]()
