[Dual Channel] Do you think this will work??

I have used 2 of 4 RAM slots in my workstation with:

SAMSUNG 256MB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 333 (PC 2700) Unbuffered System Memory Model M368L6423FTN-CB3

Dual channel is working fine with a pair of these. I wanted to maintain that dual performance gain, but with more RAM. My issue is whether I can put 2x512MB sticks in with the 2x256MB sticks. They are exactly the same except twice the size:

SAMSUNG 512MB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 333 (PC 2700) Unbuffered System Memory Model M368L6423ETN-CB3

Id be putting these 512s in 1&3 and 256s in 2&4. This is a work machine, so can only get $100 worth of "value" RAM. Video If need be I will get 2 more 256s. Thoughts?

I doubt it. I'd go with the 256s to be safe. You don't need more than a gig anyway.

Check your mobo manufacturer's suggestion on RAM combinations. What mobo do you use anyway?

I just dont like using the swapfile if I can help it. Im using about 600MB currently with no graphics apps open.
