This might have already been solved, but then again this could be useful info, so here it is.
I was just testing a map when I died and almost dropped my smoke. When I had settled things down (close call, the thing landed in a rather uncomforable spot) I went to respawn. Thing is, the rover I was about to spawn to had just timed out and de-spawned.
*Poof*, no could spawn anywhere.
Thinking back, I seem to recall that the only times I've not been able to spawn on the map were ones that had rovers on them. It got me thinking that maybe the issue is related to the spawn points not sorting themselves out quite right when one is removed from the spawn map.
