Black Textures on Tribes

I decided to download the now freeware Tribes.
I played it but alot of the textures were showing up as black (unlit as when I fired nearby it illuminated the texture, is there a problem with the lighting on Tribes with my GeForce.

If I run it in software mode as opposed to GL or Hardware or whatever, it gets a bit jerky and looks quite frankly bad but the textures are lit. So Im assuming its a OpenGL thing...
 
OpenGl thing. Try choosing tnt/tnt2, or i740 and see if those run better for you. Set your gamma up a bit. I run mine around 7/8 of the way up.
