Host and play on one key?

I ha ve a friend that will allow me to host a dedicated server at his datacenter on a good box. Will it allow me to host a dedicated server on one system and play on another? With the same key?

good luck... hosting seems to be a system hog from what i've heard. it reauires just as much of a computer to run a server as it does to play the game. thats a bad thing.

Hes saying his friend will host a server for him. Hes wondering if he gives his key and stuff away, he will still be able to play.
