T:V strengths & weakness?

Stupid question but I didnt see this in the faq, will each tribe have their own strengths and weakness in T:V, or will it be like the first 2 games and the diff tribes are just for show?Im hoping each tribe is just for show
 
You are correct. The different tribes have different armor shapes, but nothing suggests that they will have different strengths or weaknesses. That would not lean itself towards a balanced multiplayer first person shooter.

As Colosus said, the functionality of each teams equipment is identical, even though there are some visual differences in armor design.

One of the ways you can think about a shooter (not the only way) is on a spectrum from sports oriented to tactical (in the SWAT sense of the word). Differing equipment makes more sense the farther you travel toward the tactical side of that spectrum. We decided at the start of our project that we would attempt to embrace the sports side and the tactical side, and so equal equipment became a requirement, and other means of introducing tactical complexity would replace differences in equipment.

t:v will have a mortar, right? (or the equivalent...something only the heavy can carry that lobs projectiles and makes very big explosions)
