Pumpkin King began his Tribes career playing for a small, European team. During that time he became one of Tribes most dominant Heavy Offense players. Eventually, he wanted more action, and began searching for a top team on the OGL to play for. Most of the teams he inquired about turned him down without so much as a glance, though in fairness they often received requests to join from obscure, unknown players. One captain however, Baxter of Team Fusion, told him to go ahead and submit a demo. Pumpkin King made a demo of himself doing base to base HO runs on Snowblind using a shield pack, and arriving at the base with plenty of energy to spare. The invitation to join came shortly after.

In his first match with Team Fusion, Pumpkin King absolutely decimated the S3 defense on Rollercoaster, prompting SuicideTaxi (who was shoutcasting the match for WSBN ) to mention his name again and again. In a few short hours, he went from relative obscurity to being a feared name in the top 10. Later he would recruit his friend General Limp Dic, also known as GLD, to join him. Together they became a destructive pair and helped Team Fusion maintain their top ranked status.

Later, Pumpkin King and General Limp Dic would go on to found the Fairy Princesses of Nala Nala, a smurf Arena team. The concept was simple, only the best duelers in the game would be invited. They all used Princess names like Muffin, Cupcake, Daisy, etc. and their prematch chatter was always filled with smack talk like "Hugs for everyone." When they arrived on the Arena ladder, they weren't taken seriously, they were even mocked. When they attained #1 status, they were undefeated.
