Light Defense or LD is a key defensive position in any Tribes game. It normally consists of multiple players in light armor playing near the flag in order to defend it from incoming cappers.

LD Chase vs. LD Home
LD typically fall into two main categories: Chasers and stay home. Chasers guard the flag until it is taken, where they'll chase the capper and chain whore them till they recover the flag. Stay home LD will guard the flag, but primarily protect the chasers who are guarding the flag by killing the other team's offense and keeping the area under control. Stay home LD also take the enemy's flag during a standoff.
