LT, short for "Light Tribes", is a mod which strips down base Tribes in an attempt to make games with fewer players more fast paced. Unfortunately, LT oversimplified the game, making it rather boring.

Strategy and teamwork take a backseat to ping and ego in this action packed game of back and forth forever. Players start in light armor and are equipped with the chaingun, grenade launcher, and of course the disc launcher. Everyone is given an energy pack since managing your energy is much too difficult without it considering LT's profound complexity. There are no stations, no turrets, no generators, and basically no bases.

Many claim LT killed Tribes, but some claim skiing is the real killer.
