Dueling was the term for one-on-one fighting in Tribes. An individual with good dueling skills possessed sound knowledge of each weapon's abilities (how to lead them, which situations to use them in, etc.), how to use the terrain to their advantage, and energy management. Next to skiing, dueling was probably the second most valuable skill of an effective player in Tribes 1.
