Wikipedia says:

Since 25 November 2008, Wolfire Games has released new Alpha tests every 25 months, containing most of the features so far implemented in the game. These are available to people who have pre-ordered the game. Overgrowth was released 17 December 2013 as an Early Access title on Steam. On January 18, 2017 the game was officially updated to beta status.[11] The game reached 1.0 and was released on October 16, 2017 as planned.

It was part of a bundle, one of those games you don't even want but had to take to get the deal.

Now that IGN runs Humble Bundle I doubt we'll be seeing anymore good deals from there anymore. RIP inexpensive indie games.

It's like some of the animation in the game is good and some of the animation just pure shit. It's weird.
