Universal has already come out and said this is not true.

Title is incorrect. They ended EXCLUSIVITY. Not all support.

Wonderfully carefully worded non-denial from Universal, I like the "current plan is to continue" part. Why yes, you are currently supporting HD-DVD. Yes, you can easily switch camps or go dual-format next week without making that statement false. If anyone thinks that denial is final needs to get their head examined, it may be but I doubt it myself. The distinct lack of any mention of Blu-Ray in that statement also make it deny very little of the rumor.
