Dylann Roof says not to consider his mental health in trial because psychology is a J

Submitted by: Odio @ 02:21 PM | Monday, December 19, 2016 | (url: http://metro.co.u...)

Roof, 22, was found guilty this week of the racist massacre of nine black worshippers as they prayed in a church in Charleston, South Carolina.
Now, his trial is moving on to consider whether or not he should be given the death penalty.

According to a motion he filed, handwritten, the white supremacist killer said he wouldnt be calling on mental health experts to testify because he doesnt believe in psychology.

It is a Jewish invention and does nothing but invent diseases and tell people they have problems when they dont, he wrote separately in a journal.

He also fired his entire legal team and is now going to act as his own lawyer during the death penalty phase of his trial, which starts on January 3.

Roof opened fire on an historic African-American church, the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal church, on June 17, 2015.

The same jury that convicted Roof of 33 charges related to the massacre including hate crime and obstruction of religion will soon decide if he is sentenced to life in prison without parole, or death.

In his handwritten note, he said: I will not be calling mental health experts or presenting mental health evidence.

Roofs lawyers unsuccessfully tried to stop him from acting as his own lawyer, warning that he was a high-school dropout and was therefore not best placed to present his own mitigation.

They reportedly feared Roof fired them because he was afraid that embarrassing details relating to himself and his family would be presented in court as evidence, even though it would have been done so in an attempt to spare him a death sentence.

High school drop out thinks psychology is a jew conspiracy. Not terribly surprised. Education is important.

Psychologists, for all their "study" of the human mind still can't explain schizophrenia, for example. Primarily because talking to people never cured anyone, or figured out why they're nuts. Psychiatry is the actual scientific field, since they use drugs to try to control madness. Psychology is a crank science, comparable to acupuncture, homeopathy etc. The only reason it's a "respected" field is because it's filled with jews, who made it that way through endless lobbying.

To be fair many psychologists (at least in the areas of helping people) moved over to psychiatry about a decade ago. Most likely because 1. Big Pharm probably gives them monetary incentives to fill out prescriptions. And 2. People have always wanted a "quick fix" which pills provide. Rather than what they feel is lengthy and costly therapy they'd rather have a pill they can take to "make it go away". I would think it is probably easier to write off scripts on health insurance than therapy sessions so they probably stand to spend less money.

Also when the drug inevitably has enough side-effects or interactions you can simply wait to sue in a class-action and not only get a bit of money on the side but also validation it isn't your fault you aren't well.

That's largely an American problem. Civilized nations have public healthcare systems and mostly curb out this sort of behavior.

Probably, but therapy provably does nothing. Most lightweight mental conditions (depression being the biggest here) are cured not by a pill or a therapy session, but reflection. People simply refuse to be depressed, though a pill can help with the stabilization process. Depression is of course overblown and overdiagnosed because it's mostly a condition that afflicts women, and women love any excuse to not be responsible for their shitty behavior or mindset. The heavier ones, like schizophrenia or (other) psychosis don't go away by talking. They need heavy drugs to calm the person suffering from these ailments.

You can get all the benefits of a crank psychologist's therapy session by talking to a good friend, sibling, parents, etc, but especially in the modern world, people have lost their ability to form strong relationship bonds like this and so feel more at ease talking to some crank stranger who is eager to take your money yet has nothing valuable to offer. I went to a bunch of therapy sessions after my parents were murdered, it had 0 positive impact on me, because these people don't and obviously cannot have any answers for that sort of situation. Grieving was the answer, and it was a process involving nobody but myself.

psychology vs psychiatry

what about even more bullshit like psychosocial dynamics

not all psychosocial activity is therapeutic. In some environments and social movements, such as with post-WW2 East Germany Stasi's zersetzung, which has been called psychosocial crime, the development of the individual is intentionally exploited to cause damage to the individual's ability to form social bonds. This is especially true in the case of manipulation, people take advantage of their underdeveloped social skills and exploit them for selfish gain.

might as well become a basket weaver, more therapeutic, less risk

psychology is indeed soft science horseshit

it probably has some merit, but it is responsible for random internet dipshits diagnosing everyone (so and so is a sociopath, so and so is a narcissist)
12-20-16 - 07:58 AM
ya but most pill pushing is also horseshit as well and mostly used to keep ppl sedated in some way so they don't get ideas or act them out

Psychiatrists are actual medical doctors
12-20-16 - 08:07 AM
psychiatrists hold a lot more value than a psychologist thats for sure

CHANGE UR SCHEMA BECOME WHOLE AGAIN PRAISE GAIIA bullshit

@ the same time theres no denying big pharma has changed what a psychiatrist does as a job dramatically

i mean pushing pill sampler packs to get ppl hooked is one of the bigger issues, then keeping ppl on them for their own safety. its a never ending treatment of "chemical imbalance"

we all know ppl who just use psychiatrists as drug dealers

its prty easy i feel never tried it
