Laser Creates Quantum Whirlpool

Submitted by: Hologram @ 07:21 PM | Tuesday, November 18, 2014 | (url: http://www.labora...)

Physicists at The Australian National Univ. (ANU) have engineered a spiral laser beam and used it to create a whirlpool of hybrid light-matter particles called polaritons. Polaritons are hybrid particles that have properties of both matter and light. The ability to control polariton flows in this way could aid the development of completely novel technology to link conventional electronics with new laser- and fiber-based technologies. Polaritons form in semiconductors when laser light interacts with electrons and holes (positively charged vacancies) so strongly that it is no longer possible to distinguish light from matter.

if u want 2 know the quantum u gotta know the astrology because the quantum is on the inside and the astrology is on the outside and u gotta know the inside to know the outside bc you can only know the outside if you know the inside and there is a deep truth to not being able to know the inside w/o the outside because quantum is like astrology and you need to understand both to understand yourself because if you dont understand yourself you cannot understand the universe and if you dont understand the universe you can't understand yourself and that way you will never understand the inside bc you don't understand the outside

It is permanent? :( Poor Muk is forever ruined.

it is okay ref doesnt know himself either and since he does not know himself he cannot know muk bc to know muk he must know himself

I bet it spins the wrong way.

depending on which side of the equator you are on...:)

I also bet it spins badly

Nope - it's just plain wrong. Americans invented gravity and toilets and whirlpools and the equator so that's just wrong.

Stephen Hawking says it should spin one way, but it spins the other way. More questions.

would a polaritron take off from a windmill?
what if magnets were used?
How does megatron feel about polaritron ?
