NEW YORK (AP) -- A New York judge has upheld the city's dismantling of the Occupy Wall Street encampment, saying that the protesters' first amendment rights don't entitle them to camp out indefinitely in the plaza.

Supreme Court Justice Michael Stallman on Tuesday denied a motion by the demonstrators seeking to be allowed back into the park with their tents and sleeping bags.

Police cleared out the protesters in a nighttime sweep early Tuesday. The judge upheld the city's effective eviction of the protesters after an emergency appeal by the National Lawyers Guild.

The protesters have been camped out in privately owned Zuccotti Park since mid-September. Mayor Michael Bloomberg said he ordered the sweep because health and safety conditions and become "intolerable" in the crowded plaza.

Oh no! Private land owners dont want a bunch of squatters on their land anymore! Someone get a judge so we can squat on someones land! You people are insane! Why not just pick a building you want to take over and get the ACLU to file a lawsuit againt the land owners to make them let you squat in it. It would be squatting in a park wouldent it?

For the last few months, instead of looking for jobs (that, God forbid, just might be out of their comfort zone or profession) they have been doing this shit. Fuck 'em. Burn it to the ground. Make your statement by voting the right people to represent you not by making parks look like a homeless neighborhood.

i have mixed feelings about the occupy movement, i hate the system as it stands, but i'm not entirely in agreement with what they're doing, because they lack a clear agenda, and their approach is ineffective

creating a tent city is a fucking nuisance, not a protest, you wanna protest do it right, but sitting around eating, sleeping, and shitting everywhere, accomplishes nothing but to be a nuisance to the rest of society (the 99%, not the 1%, cause those fuckers are sitting comfy in their luxury condos far from the shitstorm)

of course i could be wrong, maybe they do have a clear agenda and i just haven't heard it, but i find that hard to believe with all the social media we're exposed to these days

They get to go back in, they can't have tents, sleeping bags, or lay down, but they can occupy the park... shrug

and now it's clean :D
