Streaming Traffic Up, P2P Down

Streaming usage is now 168.9% higher per day than it was 1 year ago (3.1TB compared to 1.1TB). Total traffic is 26.5% higher per day than 1 year ago (37.2TB compared to 47TB).
P2P traffic is actually 8.75% lower per day than it was 1 year ago shrinking to 25.93% of total traffic from 35.95% one year ago (13.4TB reduced to 12.2TB).
I've personally been bittorrenting less and using hulu more.

3.1 compared to 1.1 is 281%
To be fair, it says higher. 3.1 is 181% higher, or 281% as high. It's still the wrong number, but maybe they just suck at rounding.
err... note also that this is not necessarily by choice - ISPs worldwide have been throttling back bittorrent traffic in an effort to save bandwidth. In itself, that's not going to affect the total amount of data transferred, just the peak speeds, cutting it back to average things out a little.
However, when people want their stuff NOW, then that 'smoothing out' of traffic flow cuts their sudden burst into a slow trickle, and they give up in despair, searching for alternate means to get their fix.
Though I'd say the vast majority of that 'streaming' is almost entirely from youtube.
