"For the first time, researchers have successfully turned a glass material into three-dimensional information storage using a light-based technique. This achievement may be a big step forward for the real-life implementation of such materials, which have the potential to store terabits of data (1,000 gigabits, or about 125 gigabytes) in just a single cubic centimeter". - www.Physorg.com
So basically our next hardrive or RAM could be a small glass cube.

What'll be cool is if they can do this with "grown" diamonds, you could integrate the RAM/storage, processor, and display into one big hunk of unbreakable crystal.
I want one of those.

This is AFN. It's been around for a fucking LONG time, and most of you idiots are already using it: store.saveofficefurniture.com/shopimages/products/normal/HON_512C%20(450%20x%20405).jpg
hehe memory crystals like in the movie superman :)will you also have a cellophane S on your chest that you can project onto enemies, causing momentary inconveniences?
hearing about this stuff is only good when it's actually in the near future
what's the ETA on these things (going to read article to hopefully answer my own question)
