Tesla has coast to coast coverage with super charge stations now

Submitted by: Goshin @ 09:22 AM | Wednesday, January 29, 2014 | (url: http://watchplayr...)

You can drive from west to east for free if you own a Tesla S
takes 30 minutes to charge 170 miles, so stopping every 3 hours. I guess it'll keep you regular for bathrooms and food.
They plan on having EVEN MORE stations by 2015.

[qoute]The Model S is known to have an operating range of 265 EPA certified miles, 170 of which can be recharged (for free mind you) within 30 minutes of being plugged in. This means that essentially every pit stop that you take on your road trip allows time to recharge and stretch your legs while not costing you anything in gas. Right now, there are 71 stations active and is now possible for you to travel from one coast to the other via the network of charging stations.

By 2015, Tesla plans on having 98% of the United States covered with access to the power stations[/quote]

Submitted by: XTasy @ 05:03 PM | Thursday, October 22, 2009 | (url: http://www.1up.co...)

More than a year after Sony declared victory in the format war, it appears that Microsoft is officially embracing Blu-ray, to an extent. In an interview with Gizmodo, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer seemingly confirmed that the Xbox 360 will eventually be receiving an external Blu-ray drive.

The confirmation came when Ballmer was asked whether the Xbox 360 would be getting a Blu-ray drive anytime soon. He replied, "Well I don't know if we need to put Blu-ray in there - you'll be able to get Blu-ray drives as accessories."

Now I had noticed my controller still worked if I was in the bath etc.. but this is certainly kicking it up a notch to be able to track down the 360 once its stolen by seeing when it is within range. Shame they had already formatted the guys HDD though.

Left 4 Dead Xbox 360 Hacked

Submitted by: KnightMare @ 03:53 PM | Tuesday, December 9, 2008 | (url: http://www.youtub...)

Well this sucks. It seems that a group of modders have found a way to use the Left 4 Dead mod tool pack to hack the game. With the tool pack, modders simply changed what they wanted using a data transfer cable and they were all set. Kinda ruins it for people playing on Xbox Live.

Yet More 360 Price Cuts

Submitted by: Beren @ 07:21 PM | Friday, August 1, 2008 | (url: http://kotaku.com...)

So we had price cuts 2 months ago.. and now its that time again. The new prices in about a month will be Arcade (no hard drive) $199, Pro (60GB) $299, and Elite (120GB) $399. I am not super surprised by this as I thought the first lot weren't all that big. I just assumed that there would be another cut in November. But I guess it comes sooner then that after all!

Sorry, Sony. The Xbox 360 is finally going to get a blockbuster RPG. Square has announced at the Microsoft press conference that Final Fantasy XIII is going to be released on Xbox 360 the same day as PS3 in North America and Europe. What a huge coup for Microsoft, and what a great piece of news for Xbox 360 owners who also happen to be great console RPG lovers.

[PS360] GTA IV Multiplayer Modes

Submitted by: Evil Light Bulb @ 11:40 AM | Friday, March 14, 2008 | (url: http://www.gta4.n...)

Compared to the previous games GTA IV will be looking to significantly expand its base multiplayer options. This time around up to 16 players will be able to play together in 15 multiplayer modes ranging from Races to Cops N Crooks. All of these modes will feature a robust set of customizable options that can be set by the host. Players will also be able to fully customize their online characters so there won't be 16 Nikos running around.

If the game hits PCs as expected later this year these built in features will no doubt be a boon to the mod community.

Microsoft says No Blu-Ray for XBox 360

Submitted by: DudeofDeath @ 08:30 AM | Thursday, March 13, 2008 | (url: http://www.reuter...)

Reuters reports that Microsoft isn't in talks with Sony over Blu-Ray, and that Microsoft is investing more time on the digital aspects of distribution instead of the physical. This was indicated by statements from Aaron Greenburg. Greenburg went on to say that the 360 was still supply-constrained going into the month of February.

Looks like rival Sony asked for more money than Microsoft wanted to pay for the Blu-ray drive.
