i never really thought about it but when running ssd as your primary drive (win7x64)

1. power setting -> never off?

2. system restore -> never?

thoughts? do these settings affect the longevity or performance of the drive?

This is good practice regardless of the drive being SSD or mechanical.

I don't see why System Restore would be a problem, I just use an imaging program to backup my working OS partition.

SSD's will get cheaper, faster and be larger in capacity. I doubt you'll wear out the drive before you'll want to upgrade.
