like Togo it is time for this baby bird to stretch his wings and fly the nest

I'm a bit of a tech expert so me and my "tech to go bags" will be settling into this gem in the heart of silicon valley.



I got a really good deal because I am bit of a whiZ at real estate and a professional negotiator

he wanted 1.6 million and i got this gem for 1.1 million



The only hitch is that I must allow the old elderly owner to continue living there, rent free, for seven more years after i buy it.......

it will be a tight squeeze in such a smaller sized home but by the time i do the renovations and flip it I should make millions more than i put into it by then.

I'd take that deal if I had $1.1 mil cash. That's a good location.

You see the taxes paid in 2017? That's the power of prop 13. Is google going anywhere? In seven years what is the value going to be of that dirt? Lock in the price now at $1.1 mil and you're starting at $11k/year with a 2%/year max increase in property tax.

This house was designed for me. I paid $120k and stole it, the surrounding houses are worth twice this and kids outside play street hockey. When girls come over, we don't use the house anyways, I just pour drinks and tell them to wait in the bedroom. My friends have moved to the same area and we visit outside and in the garage. I don't even use the space I have.

I was a noob at first at that and then I found out that most women are really good at obeying orders, there is no need to beat around the bush at all

housing in norcal is so ****ed

its worse in the city tele, there are some serious shanty shacks going for more than that

you can rent a crawl space under a house for $500 a month

you look at prop 13 as a bad thing because the state doesn't get enough money off of old property that isn't being properly utilized

i look at prop 13 as letting guys like this new home owner, the real home owner, getting fleeced and hoodwinked at paying 11k a year (on just property taxes, not mortgage) on a house he now has to also lose 125-150k in lost renting opportunity to (over 7 years @ 1.5k a month)

i mean to pay over 1k in property taxes alone on that home depot tough shed shotgun shack is beyond laughable to anyone outside of the bubble.......to think that this is going on all over Cali right now and that prop 13 is the problem (to anything other than the next housing bubble) is like some opposite bizarro world to me

it has just made it next ground zero for next flip and flop bubble @ 50% overvalued homes (therefore over taxed)........but as a good progressive nobody sees it like that......they just look at the few people who you haven't forced to move away or flee the area to Washington, Oregon and Texas (yet)

I don't get it tbh

I'll be trying to sell my house here in Southern California hopefully within the next couple months. still have a lot of fixing up to do...
We'll see if the housing market is as good for Sellers as they say it is I've seen some people dropping in price around me so a little worried... dagnabbit give me money
