you don't say

let us have a conversation about mental illness they say

as yet another loony tune bernie bro 2.0 goes on a dangerous killing spree and then demands that we take away guns away form everyone who isn't entirely bat**** + deadly dangerous as they are

they say we shouldn't negotiate with terrorists.......but we do that each and every single day we allow these people to set policy for the rest of us

for the prison state and prison colony they so avidly fight and keep killing us for and over.

riddle me that please if anyone would......that the insane asylum inmates want to discuss our mental illness issues now.

However I do find it really funny that the idea of less guns = less gun crime seems to be an alien concept to u guys

Now I 100% realize you are never going to be able to get rid of all of the guns, or any of them, but you guys act like if there was a way to snap your fingers and make all of the guns go away the you would still see significant firearm crime or something. Like it honestly boggles my mind u can look at countries who have banned them or strictly controlled them's death rates and say anything other than less guns = less gun violence. I can't imagine anyone with a working brain disputing that
I for one didn't think about magic. Without magic, in today's world.. the argument is sound

Japanese people have a good family structure. The US, people are nuts. Also the whole racial makeup makes a difference.

There is a gun for every man, woman and child in America. They aren't going anywhere, which is why they should be allowed. Until you start having talks about ACTUALLY doing something about it, ie gun grabbing(which wod never work unless the government was willing to dig up every back yard and search every wall and crawlspace and attic in America) then you just let those who have shown to not break any laws the ability to defend themselves

Please tell me how a background check is going to stop a crazy person from killing people?

Here's what I can tell you:

- The gun he used was operating in a fully-automatic fashion. The guy wasn't militarily trained because you should never fire a fully automatic weapon in such a way because it'll often make the weapon overheat very quickly and because you can't aim for **** if you do.

- The gun fire, while fully automatic, was inconsistent and somewhat sputtering, suggesting that what he had was a modified weapon that turned a semi-automatic into a fully automatic firing mechanism.

- No one's sure how much ammunition was fired, but some reports are suggesting that the gun fire went on for something like 10-15 minutes before SWAT teams stormed his hotel room.

Because of the way anti-gun nuts conflate it. Modern fully automatic military grade weapons are illegal to own. Here are the criteria to possess a fully automatic weapon:

1. You need to be eligible to possess firearms in general.

2. You must live in a state where NFA items are permitted and machine guns, specifically, are legal to possess (ie not Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington)

3. The machine gun you wish to acquire must have been manufactured on or before May 19, 1986. That is the cutoff date for entries to be made in the NFRTR (National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record), the registry of all NFA items in the United States including machine guns.

4. You must locate a Class III dealer (FFL01+SOT) that sells or can transfer in the machine gun you wish to acquire in your state of residence.

5. You must purchase the machine gun upfront prior to transfer and have it shipped to your Class III dealer. For a full-auto M16, this will be anywhere from $12,000 and up. Typical prices for an M16 hover around $14,000 to $16,000.

6. Once purchased and with your dealer, the dealer will fill out the Form 4 application on your behalf to submission to the BATFE and collect your $200 NFA transfer stamp tax.

7. The application will be submitted. Now you wait 8+ months for the full FBI background check and BATFE processing to complete.

8. Once the Form 4 is processed, it will be returned to the dealer along with the tax stamp which is part of your paperwork. You can then take possession of your military grade fully automatic firearm and take it home.

9. The tax stamp must be kept with the firearm it belongs to at all times! The tax stamp is your only affirmative defense to prove you are not in possession of an illegal machine gun. The tax stamp is proof you paid the transfer tax and legally transferred the machine gun. Ranges that allow Class III will want to see the stamp. If you get pulled over and the gun is discovered/inspected, law enforcement will definitely want to see it too. You may be required to present the firearm for inspection on demand by the BATFE.

10. You may not transport the fully automatic firearm across state lines for any purpose without prior consent of the Federal government. You must request this in advance and provide details on where the firearm is going, when you are leaving and when it will return to its registered location of residence.

11. You cannot leave the presence of your fully automatic firearm. If someone else is shooting it, you must be with it, legally speaking. The one exception to this is if you have formed a legal trust for the purpose of possessing the firearm, in which case all beneficiaries of the trust (usually family or employees) may have access to the firearm.

That is a long list of requirements, registrations, federal background checks, and costs to possess an antique fully automatic weapon. Now if you can point to me the list of mass shootings committed with these sorts of weapons, and how they were obtained illegally so we can close up whatever loophole might apply, I'm happy to have that conversation. Otherwise you're arguing that illegal weapons shouldn't be legal.

lol nah

if you want to affect those stats, you enact policies that will prevent such a large number of people from living in poverty (easier said than done, obviously, but we're living in hypothetical land here)

poverty = continual cycle of crime, drugs, and violence

if you want to make it more difficult to mow down a crowd of people in a concert or a theatre, you go with some gun control measures

people will still manage to be dicks with knives, bombs and other ****, but it will make some kind of difference

imo

mental illness by my definition are people who can't think, respond, or behave logically or rationally in the face of overwhelming contradictory evidence.

and that, my folks, is an astronomical amount of people alive today

no wonder that 16 yo girl got standing ovation in UK when she said it wasn't 3 out of 10, but more like 7 or 8 out of 10........I mean it is for crazy by crazy now in a bubble snowflake world where virtual reality is more of their reality than the physical world around them

i mean any mental illness conversation where these are our collegiate psychologists and people with clear mind virus establish what is and isn't normal is going to be a very fun world to live in

a world much like i see right now tbh

Asian girlfriend, owned planes, family had criminal background, unknown large source of guns.

Guy obviously worked for a foreign power, probably flew around agents in his planes so they could avoid going through airports.

Asian countries are paring down their helpers in the US right now. He probably worked for Jeff Alan Lash's air force when they were doing the J Wild Fox program.

He was Manchurian candidated at the end of the last threat cycle with North Korea, when the US wouldn't budge and they reached a dead end. They may have punished the US with a mass shooting. Jong might be saying, "see how strong I really am" to his people, and they do this kind of thing a lot.

Really, citizens in the US are being treated by those in charge like grains of sand that are disposable, while they refuse to deal with what is passing for espionage these days.

Do we even know what kind of gun it is? You just can't label it a "weapon of mass destruction." You also just can't say, "it is one of ten guns found in the hotel room." That's like opening up a mug shot book and saying, "one of these guys is really dangerous, but we don't know which one did it."
