[Mega] MAGA Super Trump Mega Thread

https://trudeaumetre.polimeter.org/

looks like hes keeping and in progress with a lot more of his promises than he has broken.
He's achieved 58, broken 36.

Just to skim the article for the first few examples to get a feel if this site is bs or no:

The first achievement listed:
Eliminate all fees associated with the Access to Information process except for the initial $5 filing fee.

The first broken promise listed:
Ensure that the Access to Information law applies to the Prime Minister's and Ministers' Offices, as well as administrative institutions that support Parliament and the courts.

So we save $5 but lies and exempts his very own office from FOI requests.

Not sure why these two points are weighed evenly but that's how a Liberal friendly site
can crank out some meaningless tripe that Justeen is a man of his word. On the other hand
we see hoe Justeen keeps the small harmless promises, but tends to break the bigger important ones.

DOES ELECTION REFORM MEAN ANYTING TO YOU? What a goddam pos, and how they handled the backtrack

neg rep'd for wasting my time.

any disagreement with the indefensible naked ambition of the ultra-wealthy is stalinism

How Socialism Ruined Venezuela | Zero Hedge

And, ultimately, the lesson we learned is that socialism never, ever works, no matter what Paul Krugman, or Joseph Stiglitz, or guys in Spain like Pablo Iglesias say.

It was very common during the years we suffered under Hugo Chávez to hear these pundits and economists on TV saying that this time, socialism is being done right. This time, the Venezuelans figured it out.

nobel prize winners being duped and blatantly wrong

of course you are for sucking their shit with a spoon

choking on their cocks for free......scratch that paying for their content and never being poorer and more in debt because of it

guys, guys, it will work perfectly next time i promise

Let’s look at the cost of goods in services in terms of a salary earned by a full college professor. In the 1980s, our “full professor” needed to pay almost 15 minutes of his salary to buy one kilogram of beef. Today, in July 2017, our full professor needs to pay the equivalent of 18 hours to buy the same amount of beef. During the 1980s, our full professor needed to pay almost one year’s salary for a new sedan. Today, he must pay the equivalent of 25 years of his salary. In the 1980s, a full professor with his monthly salary could buy 17 basic baskets of essential goods. Today, he can buy just one-quarter of a basic
basket.

i guess this is better than Chode standing in line all day for his free bread

i mean lines are great.......Disney Land has huge lines and it is the happiest place on Earth

Venezuelans lose average of 19lb in weight due to nationwide food shortages, study suggests | The Independent

if you read through their timeline there was a golden age between privatized industry (in the 20's) and the dogmatic dictatorship they have today........when they only had a little cancer (like we did in the 50's) and much like America and under Bernie bots the same will be said again

Fascism requires more government. More government != conservative ("right"), therefore fascism is leftist.

I would say it's more like: (most government) Communism <- Fascism <- Socialism <- ... <- ... <- ... <- ... (least government)
(Fascism and socialism become so intertwined that you could probably make arguments of them swapping positions here and there. It's wishy-washy.)

Nothing you said contradicts that. I agree that it isn't explicit and exact in its use, but the point remains, it requires more government.

no.

fascism as a movement has a specific set of characteristics. one of the most important characteristics is the fact that property rights don't change. oskar schindler owned his stupid factory. he might have been making shit at the direction of the german government while saving the jews, but he still owned the factory and all the profits. that's totally not socialism.

socialism and capitalism can be put on a spectrum. socialism and fascism cannot; it's like trying to put a carrot and Mickey Mouse on a spectrum. You can try, but it's not going to work.

and TBH political spectrums are pretty useless for analyzing a social situation. society and people are far too complex for linear stupid shit. it's great for spreading disinformation; you flatten the whole thing down to a spectrum and you eliminate a ton of useful information. you eliminate a ton of inconvenient information.

yeah, nazis called themselves socialists. good for them. north korea calls itself "the people's republic of north korea." yeah, totally, that's exactly what they are. great britain also calls itself great. woo. gj great britain. and the united states is totally united!

Nazi Germany wasn't a totalitarian state in that sense, hence why people still owned things.

I can safely place fascism anywhere on the left side of my political spectrum BECAUSE IT REQUIRES GOVERNMENT POWER TO BE EFFECTIVE. No one cares about the mice trying to suppress our speech. We care about the guy holding the gun.

So now Nazis weren't socialists? Oh my fucking god. Jesus Christ, you are so fucking delusional. This is why Socialist/Communist patterns keeps repeating over and over no matter how many times it fails and millions of lives are lost/suffer and billions suffer.

Accurate political spectrums are actually amazing. They allow us to have conversations about what is bad and what is good, based on subjective and objective views. The only trend I notice is that leftists don't like them because literally all of history shows us that leftism is horrendous for people, and who wants to admit that their views are demonstrably shit? Definitely not the people who are naive enough to believe in socialism in the first place.

p.s. If the people of NK had a chance to vote, they would instantly vote a psycho has a supreme leader again. It would require at least a generation or two for them change out of that mindset. This is how little you understand people.
