Wow, it's not even debatable! Well excuse me with my hate speech I'll just have to check my privilege and allow you to tell me the real news regarding the cabinet.

What is anti-gay? I'm guessing having the state force religions to marry dudes even if their texts say not to (all the big 3 concur with that) is the only way to be pro-gays, right? Being pro-any group means giving them the same opportunity to succeed as you would others fyi.

I think you're confusing the overstepping of governmental influence in being the arbiter of marriages and the benefits they bestow on married people as a backend bachelor tax and hospitals having rules restricting random people from visiting their dying loved ones at all hours and their reliance on the government to be that arbiter.

The government has no place in that role and the dems/repubs who engage in that warfare against each other are in antithesis to any republican ideal.

i know you're having a tough time with the internet based trump crowd as we are far more libertarian in ideal but your reality has been molded by falsehoods as you may not be mentally competent enough to understand a coalition of various beliefs coalesced behind trump and not just a bunch of hillbilly racist yokels. The propaganda machines from the entrenched reds/blues isn't any different then the propaganda in ww2 so that our grandfathers would shoot the krauts and nips rather than ask why are we fighting.

Gladly.

Mike Pence:
- Tried to use taxpayer dollar to fund conversion therapy
- Vocal advocate of repealing gay marriage
- Fought to reinstate DADT

Jeff Sessions:
- Voted to allow employers to discriminate against gays
- Hate crime protection against gays 'cheapen civil rights'
- Voted to ban same sex marriage multiple times

Tom Price:
- Voted to allow employers to discriminate against gays
- Voted to ban same sex marriage multiple times
- Equates homosexuality to 'pedophilia and bestiality'

Betsy DeVos:
- Donated hundreds of thousands to conversion therapy causes, and the hate group Focus on the Family
- Voted to ban same sex marriage multiple times

Ben Carson:
- Actually insane
- Has a self portrait with him and Jesus in his house
- Thinks the Earth is 6000 years old

And on, and on...

That's a small snapshot, but the rest of the cabinet reads exactly the same.

Both sides have intolerant people.

One side seeks to smash oppositional view via the laws it will create and uphold, the other will allow both sides of the spectrum to engage in discourse. The former is for nefarious, self-serving purposes; the latter will create a stronger society by maximizing the ability of all to have a voice and for it be louder or weaker depending on personal ability.

This is further compounded by one side playing to the lowest common denominator as to how we should all be treated (people who can't be trusted with guns, gods, or speech as a few will do bad things with it), the other trusts you to overall make the right choice and for justice to be brought forth in an organized and fair manner if you infringe on another's.

We've reached the end stages of the battle of personal accountability vs. nanny state. 15 years of boogeymen in the middle east has been great for fear and the nanny state being the only thing to protect you from these guys, even though the state are the people who controls them coming in the first place.

Trump doesn't really care about that social crap. If something happens to Trump though, look out! Until then... just wait and see?

Pence never tried to use taxpayer dollars to fund conversion therapy. Even Politifact will tell you that. The notion that he would came from his website in 2000, and was in regard to those who wanted voluntary programs to "convert". It was subsequently removed, but this notion that Pence wants some sort of death camp for queers is just absurd.

I guess you're against gays who don't want to be gay? But you're right tax dollars shouldn't be spent on it. Others above posted it's not-true..so, which one is it? Don't tell me you're listening to 'real news' again. Promoting/Repealing gay marriage has nothing to do with being anti-gay fyi, it's a matter of the government is not the arbiter of whether two consenting adults as opposed to the dudes who practice religion.

Regarding DADT, I don't believe he fought to reinstate but fought to keep it. As a governor he gets no say in that and his voice is equal to yours and mine as he does not have a vote. Politicians and the military have always been weird and I doubt he understands how much of a non-event it was. Sounds like an appeal to base, or an attempt to stop normalization of what is in his eyes, degenerecy. DADT is a simple codified version of the various unspoken rules. If you dislike blacks, keep it to yourself in the military. If you are about something others may strongly disagree with, keep it to yourself. The military shouldn't be about politics and the codification of DADT is a weird anomaly brought forward as a ****ty compromise to let gays be in the military. Our military is made up of all stripes and the government needs to allow all fit and willing people to serve. The melting pot that occurs within creates a strong brotherhood that isn't easily understood from those who were never in due to the sacrifices you make for each other, regardless of personal beliefs. The only exception comes in regards to national security clearances - if you are not comfortable with somethin you are about and you can be blackmailed via it, you are a risk.

Jeff Sessions:
- Voted to allow employers to discriminate against gays

Hate crime is a crock of **** if you believe crimes such as murder and **** aren't inherently hateful in nature. It also puts minorities into a favored status and has resulted in a rat race to being the most unique endangered snowflake you see here today. Discrimination is hilarious as it allows monolothic dinosaur companies collapse, creating a fresh cycle of wealth to new forward thinkers who take the best. The government also being the arbiter of discrimination has also been an absolute failure. Hilarious that sports via UTEP in 1966 proved that if you think any group is composed of inferior people, prepare to be shocked and lose. Let the losers fail. The dynastic wealth that has expanded since the 70s is built on rules and regulations like affirmative action to make smaller businesses fail at competing for government contracts due to no veterans, blacks, etc.

Tom Price:
- Voted to allow employers to discriminate against gays not an example, just a broad comment
- Voted to ban same sex marriage multiple times above
- Equates homosexuality to 'pedophilia and bestiality' religion driven slippery slope argumentation. Not anti-gay though, it's a detail of his thought process which you can tell he is a strict interpration bible guy. probably means he's pretty strict on the constitution too which means Gays wouldn't be state sanctioned targets at any point.

Betsy DeVos:
- Donated hundreds of thousands to conversion therapy causes, and the hate group Focus on the Family who determines they're a hate group? the adl? the government? i'm guessing the government right lol
- Voted to ban same sex marriage multiple times
above

Ben Carson:
- Actually insane
- Has a self portrait with him and Jesus in his house
- Thinks the Earth is 6000 years old

nothing to do with gays. dude is a nice dude but a ****ing weirdo that's for sure. pretty sure he's going to be trump's token black dude. you gotta play the game unfortunately due to people like you wanting affirmative action, but he also rewards loyalty as all politicians do.

And on, and on...

That's a small snapshot, but the rest of the cabinet reads exactly the same.
You fundamentally think the government needs to have it's hand in everything and there is no reconciling that belief with actual republicanism. Government's founded on being authoritarian in nature like you are arguing are historically the governments that kill gays and doesn't bring any justice to those who do. The more power you give to the government, the more likely you are to see the rise of state sanctioned genocide of various groups. Maybe gays will be favored in the that government, maybe not? The religious zealots you seem to have a huge fear of will be just likely as a gay friendly government to take control and legally restrict freedoms of gays.

While the delineated rights listed in the constitution should not be construed as being the only rights you have but more of a framework with other rights filling within, the gay marriage right you seem to be so big is fundamentally against the first which mandates government staying out of restricting religion. Marriage is first and foremost a religious construct. The economic incentives given to married couples is another topic. There are religions groups who could easily take over (think great awakening type stuff) and suddenly you gave them the keys to a car that'll ruin swaths of people through no fault of their own. Please tell me that hasn't been a reoccuring theme in history.

However, we have reached an impasse and you think the government should be all powerful. I also gotta work on my business given corporate tax rate dropping next year will make one of my plans very economically viable considering I'm otherwise a veteran who's a college student.

You also are utterly shocked Trump won by listening to the same guys who tell you trump is going to destroy gays. Maybe you should start listening to people who are actually right?
