normally toaster-oven
skillet if I want to use the grease for something

Oven ftw, thick cut, sprinkle some brown sugar over it

Crispy enough to break when bent

Oven, can cook a lb at once, and it all comes out evenly cooked, and flat.

Don't preheat the oven. Throw pepper on the bacon and put it in. Turn it up to 425. Wait 15 minutes. Perfect bacon.

in pan
put enough water in to just cover bacon
boil on high until all water is gone
turn to med/low and crisp

no joke this works great with minimal splatter/mess
